The album has one bonus track - an extra tune, as opposed to a different take of one of the other numbers. Oddly, the bonus track, "How Sweet," is the second track, rather than the last. It was written by Scott, as was the third track, so maybe that's why. However, it flows well with the rest of the album, and adds to the flavor of the album/5(4).

One of Shirley Scott's stronger dates, this quintet outing matches her organ with tenor saxophonist Oliver Nelson, trumpeter Joe Newman, bassist George Tucker, and drummer Roy bisttuweedseogussio.verlodeveganodelandcodoubsiobel.co material is varied and includes such interesting tunes as "Blue Seven," "Wagon Wheels," and a swinging "Give Me the Simple Life." Shirley Scott was indeed the Queen of the Organ and this track collection of her work for Prestige, Bluesville, and Moodsville gives ample proof of that fact. The collection covers the years to and features her recordings as a leader and as a sideman. Her light and swinging tone at the B-3 made her a perfect foil for the great tenor saxophonist Eddie "Lockjaw" Davis; three tracks 9/

An admirer of the seminal Jimmy Smith, Shirley Scott has been one of the organ's most appealing representatives since the late '50s. Scott, a very melodic and accessible player, started out on piano and played trumpet in high school before taking up the Hammond B-3 and enjoying national recognition in the late '50s with her superb Prestige dates with tenor sax great Eddie "Lockjaw" Davis.
