  This recent release by Mint Julep (Hollie and Keith Kenniff) is one of the best synthpop albums in quite a while. New and retro sounds are delightfully interwoven with creative percussive effects and Hollie’s emotional and mysterious vocals. For me, the especially strong tracks are 5/5(1).

  An interesting late 60's album from one of many bands who put out just one obscure effort, then were forgotten about at the time upon it's release. The self titled album from Valhalla is one of those records that most certainly need time to sort of grow on you, but at the same time is also one of those records that continues to command.

  And my personal favorite "One Mint Julep" captures Chet's wry country jaunt with some innovative volume pedal work on the last verse. To anyone who loves and values the style that is singularly Chet Atkins, this album and any others of his from the 's such as "Hi-Fi in Focus" or "Chet Atkins at Home", I highly recommend "Teensville"/5(12).
